Prime Cut Wins Ned Kelly Award

Congratulations to Fremantle author Alan Carter who has won the 16th annual Ned Kelly Award for Best First Fiction with his debut novel Prime Cut.

The awards, named for the famous Australian bushranger Ned Kelly, are Australia’s leading literary awards for crime writing in two categories – crime fiction and true crime.
The awards were first established in 1996 by the Crime Writers Association of Australia to recognise excellence in the field of crime writing within Australia.
I recently met Alan when he was on his way home from the Kimberley Writer’s Festival and have the book sitting on the TBR pile ready to go!
