The Light Between Oceans by ML Stedman

“…this is a story of right and wrong, and how sometimes they look the same.”

So true. This is heart-breaking! I really enjoyed (is that the right word when it was so sad?) this book set on an island off the coast of the south west of Western Australia, a region I grew up in.

It is 1926. After years of trying to fall pregnant, two miscarriages and one stillbirth, what would you do if a boat washed up onshore carrying a dead man and a living baby?

The sign of a great book is that when you finish it, you spend days thinking about what you would have done in the same situation. A great discussion novel for book clubs and highly recommended!
